Sprint launches 4G, faster mobile broadband

Yes, 4G has finally been launched by the company and is expected to make the lives of people in Las Vegas more productive now. People exhausted with slower mobile broadband can be relieved now as Sprint launches the 4G mobile broadband. This recently released broadband across the Las Vegas metro area claims to be 3 to 5 times faster offering higher-speed internet compared to 3G broadband.

Mobile users can now enjoy high-speed internet at any place or time. The advancement of this wireless connectivity now enables them to stream videos and experience fast file downloads and uploads. This turbo charged web browsing will enhance the internet experience, consuming less time.

This mobile broadband keeps varied perspectives from the users in mind. Sprint delivers an exceptional high speed with download speeds of more than 10Mbps and average download speeds of 3-6Mbps. Las Vegas is among the first cities where 4G mobile broadband has been offered by Sprint. The city is believed to be the first national carrier to test, evaluate, launch and market 4G technology across the world.

Along with this new technology, Sprint plans to launch several new 4G devices in the year 2009 and 2010, where a single-mode 4G data card, integrated laptops and a 4G phone would be included. The company’s upcoming mobile phones should provide standard and rich content, larger file transfers, streaming video and quick remote access.

Sprint is currently offering new 4G/3G data plans for consumers at $69.99 monthly with unlimited 4G and 4G/3G data plans for businesses at $69.99 with unlimited 4G and unlimited 3G on the Sprint network excluding surcharges and taxes.

Sprint expects to release this faster wireless connectivity service in multiple markets including Boston, Houston, New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. It is believed to launch this service in these markets by 2010.
