Sprint ID helps users personalize their phones

Applications seem to be raining these days irrespective of the OS. With such a wide variety to choose from, it becomes extremely difficult for handset owners to choose the ones best suited for them. Thus, in order to assist users, Sprint unveils the Sprint ID for three recently launched smartphones. With this ID pack, subscribers can customize their handsets and load it with widgets, apps, ringtones and wallpapers.

These have been designed using Android and will be first launched on Samsung Transform, Sanyo Zio, and LG Optimus S. The carrier has joined hands with several brands some of which include Notre Dame, Oprah Winfrey Network, ESPN, HSN, LatCel, MTV, RadioShack, Weather Channel, Amazon, Blackboard, Comcast, Disney, E!, Yahoo!, Electronic Arts, eBay and Where. Users can personalize their devices with up to five ID packs.

In all there are five pack categories namely, Hispanic, Consumer, Business, Wholesale and Education. More of them are slated to come out by this quarter and later. There are both brand specific and non branded packs. Users can choose from several ID packs some of which are auto enthusiast, golf enthusiast, health and fitness, fashion and beauty, entertainment, lifestyle packs, Yahoo!, Electronic Arts game packs business packs, and socially connected.

These packs are crafted to assist brands improvise their relationships with customers. Installing the ID is said to be simple and quick, ID packs may come free with select service plans. Once the ID is loaded, mobile enthusiasts can add more content and apps. Moreover, they can easily switch packs without losing out on software they like the most. Handset owners can easily swap from English to Spanish.

These Sprint packs can be procured from all Sprint channels including the official website, Telesales as well as national retail partners like RadioShack and Best Buy. Additionally, they can even obtain them from Direct-to-Consumer partners from Sprint partners’ website.
