Spotify now available on Apple App Store and Android Market

Spotify iPhone Android App The much awaited streaming music service Spotify is now available for download on the Apple App Store as well as the Android Market. Music enthusiasts need to upgrade, since the app is available only for the premium subscribers.

According to Spotify Blog, the app is offered only on iPhone, iPod Touch and Android platforms. Spotify is an amazing application for music enthusiasts, it presents more than 6 million tracks that are easily accessible to users. With the mobile apps, users can now carry the entire Spotify catalog in their pockets.

The unique application also enables users to access playlists anytime, even when the connection is not available by switching to the offline mode. Apparently, around 3,333 songs can be stored in the offline mode, thus offering premium service irrespective of the network connection. The application may offer synchronization with the desktop by means of a Wi-Fi connection, thus eliminating the need for a USB cable.

Supposedly, unlike other music streaming services, Spotify plays music instantly, owing to its P2P technology.

The launch of the mobile version marks the company’s initiative to introduce the application in the US pretty soon.
