Spice Mobiles Collaborates with Qualcomm Incorporated

Spice C-810, S-950 Phones Spice Mobiles Limited collaborates with Qualcomm Incorporated to bring 3G CDMA devices to Indian markets. Spice Mobile Limited, India’s leading mobile handset and Qualcomm Incorporated which is a leading developer and innovator of advanced wireless technologies and data solutions have marked the commencement of this day by unveiling two new Spice handsets by the Bollywood actress Ms Katrina Kaif. S-950, the first Indian branded 3G device and C-810, a full featured CDMA 2000 device were unveiled in the presence of Mr. Dilip Modi, Vice Chairman, Spice Mobiles Ltd. & Group President (Global Operations), Spice Corp. Ltd. and Mr. Kanwalinder Singh, President, Qualcomm – India and South Asia.

Based on Qualcomm’s Mobile Station Modem MSM6245 chipset, Spice Mobile S-950 is designed for 3G devices. Some of the features of this stylish phone are a 3G device that supports wideband services like high-speed internet, high resolution, 2MP camera, 262K colour screen, music player stereo Bluetooth, in-built FM radio, video playback and compatibility with GPRS/EDGE/GSM.

Spice Mobile C-810 is a fully loaded multimedia handset which offers 15-day standby, capacity to storage 500 songs or 1000 images, 2.2-inch display, 1.3MP camera, Music Player, inbuilt FM radio video player, Bluetooth, BREW and an expandable memory.

Both the companies have a strategic significance for this collaboration. It will empower Spice Mobile to meet the demand for 3G even before the 3G technology is commercially launched in Indian markets and also help Qualcomm exhibit its innovative solutions and experience to its customers.
