We’re guessing there will be no more Sony Xperia Z1 aka Honami teaser images henceforth and the Japanese manufacturer has finally decided to put the process to rest. Looks like Sony wants to maintain some element of surprise after all. However, we have something else concerning the device which may specially require the attention of those residing in India.
The smartphone will most likely see the crack of dawn in the second week of next month through an event slated to be held in New Delhi. And the company has once again chosen starlet Katrina Kaif to be the brand ambassador.
We knew that there is no way that the Sony Xperia Z1 could be taken home without having buyers’ pockets drilled with a deep hole. But the smartphone is all set to breach the Rs 50,000 benchmark, as a post on BGR India has pointed out. The picture seen above has managed to display the handset under a brighter light than the manufacturer could in three images.
Assuming a rectangularish shape akin to the Z Ultra, the Sony Xperia Z1 convincingly passes off a 5-inch gadget, although expect it to be slightly bigger than the manufacturer’s current flagship. If someone were to ask us, we quite like the fact that in spite of being rumored to hold onto a 20MP camera, there’s no hassling bump seen on the device’s flip side.
It has been quite difficult to miss out on any Honami leaks in the past few weeks. So those who have been in the loop will most definitely know about the onboard 2.2GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 16GB internal hoarding capacity and a 3,000mAh battery.
Anyone who thinks that the offerings of the Xperia Z1 are worth the aforementioned price, can mark the launch date on the calendar right now. It is September 18, 2013.
