A price for the Sony Xperia E in the UK has come out and Clove has labeled it for £129.99, complete with taxes and sans any carrier commitment. Though the maker’s official website displays a pink option as well, the aforesaid retailer is currently selling the phone silhouetted only in black and white.
The Xperia E was announced last year and even though it is slotted as an affordable smartphone owing to its low retail value, it packs in the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform. Its dual SIM counterpart however hasn’t been so lucky being granted with just the Ice Cream Sandwich OS. The device in question could be ideal for those who desire to own a handset with decent specs and at the same time do not want to shell out too much of cash.
External details include a 3.5-inch TFT display that is confined within a chassis measuring 113.5mm x 61.8mm x 11mm in dimensions and weighing down the scales at 115.7 grams. The touchscreen gives out visuals at a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. Users will have to make do with a 3.2MP camera embedded on the rear for capturing invaluable memories.
Under the hood, the phone gains steam from a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and 512MB of RAM. Although a mediocre 4GB of storage has been allocated to consumers, the manufacturer has made a provision for increasing the space up till 32GB via a microSD card. The maker claims that the 1500mAh battery should allow a talktime of around 6.3 hours or a standby time of approximately 530 hours.
The official online store has the Sony Xperia E tagged at £159 and Expansys is offering the black variant for £134.99 with the white as well as pink options being put up for pre-order. The handset can also be procured from Unlocked Mobiles for £134.98, while Carphone Warehouse has put up a page which allows interested buyers to pre-register for the device.
