Sony Vaio Flip hybrid laptops launched in India starting at Rs 94,990

The brand new Sony Vaio Flip hybrid laptops that were launched at the CES in Las Vegas, have debuted in India and require users to shell out anything upwards from Rs 94,990. The series features a 13-inch and a 14-inch notebook along with two 15.5-inch convertibles. These Windows 8.1-based gadgets have a hinge mechanism that allows users to use them in not only tablet and laptop modes, but also the viewer mode.

The Flip F13N1A graced by a 13.3-inch full HD touchscreen is the smallest in the lot and is the proud owner of the fourth generation Intel Core processors. It brings a 256GB SSD and integrates up to 8GB of RAM. An 8MP camera and common connectivity options can also be found in it. The F14N16 is a 14-inch laptop, but is cheaper than the 13-inch one because it employs an HDD. 8GB of RAM, Intel CPUs and battery life of 6 hours are just some of its many other features.

As for the F15N12 and the F15N17, these are the two 15.5-inch convertibles which, like their aforementioned siblings, play host to touchscreens capable of rendering visuals in full HD resolution. The fourth generation Intel processors are responsible for ensuring smooth multitasking at all times.

The former employs an i5 processor sprinting at 1.6GHz, while the latter has an i7 chip clocked in at 1.8GHz. Some of the other pointers on the specs list are at least 4GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce GT735M GPU, an HD webcam and 1TB of storage capacity. 5 hours of continuous usage can be expected from each of them.

The Sony Vaio Flip 13 and 14 cost Rs 99,990 and Rs 94,990, respectively, while the Flip F15N12 and F15N17 can be picked up for Rs 104,990 and Rs 119,990, correspondingly.
