Well, the official Sony Ericsson Product blog now gives an insight as to what users can expect from this over-the-air update. It appears to have taken care of the X10’s issues with speed, enhancing the handset’s overall performance.
The speed of the messaging tasks and camera UI has been progressed thanks to the software update. Additionally, the phone is augmented with a free back up and restore application which will allow users to keep a track of their settings and information. PlayNow will also be added with advanced applications and games in selected markets.
Users can now enjoy this update live across selected markets over the coming weeks. The update is pending completion of quality approvals for particular markets and operators.
Mobile enthusiasts will receive a text message regarding an upgrade in the notification bars of the X10 once the update is live in their terrain. They need to then download this update using their mobile network connection or Wi-Fi. Users also have the option of using their PCs and visiting the company’s website. They can further follow the instructions to get the update.
