More often than not, Facebook seems to be in the limelight, be it a privacy concern or a product launch. The Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman and the txt pro phones have now been revealed through Facebook. This release followed after a major competition open worldwide for over 4.8 million followers of the company.

The Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman phone aims to provide some fun with music. It comes in with a Zappin key that introduces both, fun and convenience while searching for a song. For all those budding singers, the handset features a karaoke function enabling them to sing along by lowering the vocal track of the song when desired. The different bands of colors available for the phones exterior give it a personalized touch.

“We wanted to take advantage of our extensive Facebook fan base when announcing these phones, bringing the fans closer to both our products and brand. We are really pleased that consumers liked them for their music and social media functionality and expect them to become great additions to our overall portfolio of entertaining phone,” enthused Quentin Cordier, Global Product Marketing Manager, Sony Ericsson.

The Sony Ericsson txt pro features a 3.2 megapixel camera, 3” touchscreen and a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, all under one roof. Friendship may blossom with a dedicated friends app that gives users access to Facebook and Twitter updates of their 5 best friends in one glance.

A range of features are common to both phones like the full touch functionality with a corner user interface, camera, video recording and Wi-Fi.

The two phones are slated for worldwide release in selected markets around Q3.
