All you tough guys gear up to welcome the Sonim LM801, an adventurer’s mobile phone. The latest rugged phone is the new challenger vying for the toughness title in the list of Sonim tough phones.
This tough cookie comes in a loud yellow and black colour with resistance for water and dust. The device is apparently capable of handling a drop. With a candybar design, the handset boasts of an integrated flashlight, laser pointer and magnetic compass. The device additionally sports an altimeter, FM radio along with an MP3 player.
A great handset to carry along in camps and adventures, Sonim’s LM801 also features a torch and dual band. Well we do understand the need of a torch, but we are wondering of what use a laser beam would be during a camp. We figure it should probably scare away animals!
With just a handful of carriers developing rugged phones, this addition to Sonim’s series of tough phones should appeal adventure lovers. Chosen by IFA to show off this week, the LM801 is the latest hardcore G’zOne killer.
Loaded with some great features, the Sonim LM801 is hard enough to withstand a real good beating. Presently the handset isn’t available in the UK and the makers are on the look for some appropriate outlets.
