SMART Communications in collaboration with Nokia launches Nokia Messaging on specific Nokia Nseries and Eseries phones in the Phillipines. Nokia Messaging is a user-friendly messaging service that is available on a special data plan to SMART subscribers.
Nokia Messaging will initially be available with Nokia E75, followed by other Nokia Messaging capable phones in near future.

More and more customers – even non-business users – are looking for a reliable service that allows them to have email pushed automatically to their handsets while on the move,” said Danilo Mojica, Head of Wireless Consumer Division, SMART.
Nokia Messaging mobilizes emails from many internet and email service providers across the globe. Users can get their email accounts pushed to their Nokia phones from email service providers like Ovi, Yahoo mail, Gmail and Windows Live Hotmail.

The push email service lets the user view emails on the phone by simply entering the email address and password. Users can read, send, forward, reply to emails and download, read, forward and attach files effortlessly. The service also facilitates Small medium enterprises (SMEs) with their own POP/IMAP compliant servers.
Talking about the Nokia E75, it comes with a basic QWERTY keymat alongside featuring a unified messaging interface. The unlimited Nokia push email service will be made available to SMART Gold subscribers owning the Nokia E75 at a price of P299 per month.
