SIP VoIP Calling Over 3G now enabled

Acrobits iPhone

Earlier this week, Apple enabled VoIP iPhone applications to work over 3G. Now, pretty interestingly, Acrobits has added the ability to make calls over 3G or Edge networks to Acrobits Softphone. Users can now use the softphone to make or receive calls even when no Wi-Fi connection is available.

SIP users with an iPhone can now experience a truly portable softphone and make calls with their VoIP account anywhere they have a 3G or Edge connection. And since the Push Notification service lets users receive calls when the softphone is closed, they can receive calls anywhere a 3G or Edge connection is available.

“We believe adding 3G capability puts Acrobits Softphone at the forefront of the integral mobile VoIP market,” stated Acrobits.

Users can use their iPhone to make calls over Internet from any place which has a Wi-Fi signal at very affordable rates. Call friends and family when traveling abroad. Use iPhone as a home cordless phone or make calls through the office PBX, using the business phone number from anywhere. Nice, isn’t it?

So iPhone and iPod Touch users can now experience the ability to make calls over 3G or Edge networks to Acrobits Softphone.
