With its repeated appearances in a number of the leaks, the BlackBerry 9670 Clamshell seems to be making a lot of noise in the mobile world. About a week back we had reported on the BlackBerry 9670’s simulator being leaked. Well, now it seems that BoyGeniusReport has unearthed an overview of the BlackBerry 9670 Oxford Clamshell. The handset supposedly features a 240×320 external display along with a 360×400 internal display.

A number of speculations have made their way through the mobile space to endow BlackBerry fans with a clearer picture of the Oxford. This QWERTY keypad mobile phone uses an optical trackpad for navigation. Outfitted with a 5 megapixel camera it tips the scales at 175.5 x 60 x 18.5 mm. The external display exhibits caller ID, clock and notifications. Interestingly this device is assumed to be working on the latest BlackBerry OS 6. It bundles up features like Wi-Fi, GPS, CDMA radio, and there is word that an 8GB memory card is also packed in.

There is still no official word on its pricing and availability details. However, if rumors are to be believed there is a possibility of it coming through Sprint while a GSM version from Vodafone could also be coming around. Wait a second the carrier’s list is not over yet there are additional hearsays about Verizon, Telus and Bell too joining the rat race.
