Here’s some really good news for all those hardcore shoppers who spend most of their time in searching for right information only to get peeved later. According to the official Google Mobile Blog, Google has recently announced a new Android application entitled the ‘Google Shopper’.
The newly released app allows users to find information quickly by using their phone’s camera. It can recognize cover art of books, CDs, DVDs, and video games, along with most barcodes. Users can also speak the name of the product they’re looking for.
Powered by Google Product Search, the Shopper helps users make smart decisions about what to buy, what price to pay, and where to buy it. One can star items for later and share them with friends. Additionally, the app saves users’ history so they’ll always have product and price information at their fingertips, even when they don’t have a signal.
Shopper lets users scan the barcode of almost any product to quickly learn more about it and offers detailed product information.
The Google Shopper app for the Android-powered phone can now be downloaded from Android Market.
