Samsung unveils SCH-W8300 handset

Samsung Sch W8300 It looks like clamshell handsets are a trademark of Samsung; the company has yet again revealed a new flip phone christened SCH-W8300. The handset will be known as SCH-W830 under SK Telecom and SPH-W8350 for LG Telecom, reports Ubergizmo.

The round external display that the handset incorporates appears to make a style statement. Apparently, the W800 features a 2.6-inch 262K LCD internal screen that offers 240 × 320 resolution. Reportedly, the sleek phone from Samsung is just 13.4mm thin and offers a dedicated button that facilitates users to open the mobile phone instantly. The W800 will be made available in blue, pink or white colors.

The clamshell device is equipped with a 2 megapixel camera along with an integrated media player. Further, the mobile phone also packages maps of the subway system, Bluetooth connectivity, a microSD memory card slot, GSM/3G HSDPA support and a fascinating SOS function. The device might offer a talktime of 5 hours and a standby time of up to 390 hours. The handset also features Video/Music on demand functionality, preloaded games and gesture control.

Reportedly, the Samsung mobile phone will come with a price tag of around $400. The handset will also be offered by KTF network carrier in South Korea.
