Samsung unsure about when and where it should launch Galaxy S5

The latest is that Samsung is a bit unsure about when and where it could launch the Galaxy S5. The word comes via a tweet by Eldar Murtizan, the same guy who surprised us by pinning a February 23 release date to the smartphone.

Well, that totally put us off believing anything Murtizan has to say about the day on which the Samsung Galaxy S5 will debut. He had initially claimed that we should watch out for a February 23 launch and mid to late April market availability of the handset.

But the thing is, the MWC 2014 (Mobile World Congress) falls between 24 and 27 February this year. Samsung may not want to clump its Galaxy S5 along with the other devices which will be showcased at the event. The company’s upcoming flagship will need some time alone in the spotlight after all.

GottaBeMobile points out that it looks like Murtizan is backtracking on the ‘leak’ with his newest tweet which says Samsung isn’t comfortable with the place and date of launch it had decided upon. Apparently, London may instead be where the phone’s unveiling plays out.

Samsung Galaxy S5 rumored specs and features:

– Android KitKat 4.4 platform
– 5.2-inch, 2560 x 1440p display
– Snapdragon or Exynos processor
– 3GB of RAM
– 16MP camera
– Metal and plastic versions

Posted above are the specifications of the handset that have been outed through unofficial news and rumors. It seems to be a decent upgrade from the Galaxy S4. If Murtizan’s word is to be taken, then the device will carry the same price as its predecessor.
