Verizon Wireless adds yet another phone to its line-up of entry level devices called the Samsung Smooth (U350). Sporting a flip form factor, this phone is loaded with many basic features and various other services offered by the carrier.
This simple device features a 1.9 inch display with 128 x 160 resolution and 65K vibrant colors. It includes a VGA camera with Night Mode, Digital Zoom and Preview Mode. The phone comes with the capability of browsing the web, Mobile email, Mobile Web Mail and Chat. It also lets users download games, ringtones and more from the web.
The Samsung Smooth phone includes VZ Navigator which offers turn-by-turn directions and also integrates chaperone Parent/child feature. Moreover, the phone enables a user to send text, picture and voice messages to their friends.
Additionally, this phone packs in several other features such as Bluetooth, Voice commands, speakerphone, calendar with scheduler, notepad and a battery that offers 5 hours of talktime and 336 hours of standby time.
The Samsung Smooth phone is now available through Verizon and is priced at $30 with a two year contract and a $50 online discount.
