Samsung SM-W750V could be a flagship Windows Phone 8 device

Samsung wants to cash in the fact that Nokia will soon lose its upper hand in the Windows Phone segment as the company has been acquired by Microsoft, and hence the South Korean manufacturer is planning to launch a high-end gadget called SM-W750V that makes the most of this OS. Nothing has been announced about the phone as yet. But as they say, there’s never smoke without fire so we are pretty sure that it is in the pipeline.

The guys over at SamMobile spotted this piece of news on Blog of Mobile who in turn were the ones who came across an image on Zauba which clearly mentions the model number of the device. Zauba keeps shipment records of various products and the said device has been mentioned twice in the document.

Shipping Records

It clearly shows that a certain SM-W750V has been shipped from Korea to India for research and development purposes. The device sports a single SIM card slot and is apparently graced by a touchscreen measuring 5 inches. Also, the one that was shipped earlier was priced at Rs 31,967, while the units that came in second shipment have a price tag of Rs 33,245 each on them.

This is not the first time when Samsung is experimenting with Windows Phone. It already has a range of devices under its Ativ and Omnia lineups, but we are yet to see a flagship Samsung smartphone bearing the Microsoft certification.

None of the details regarding the Samsung SM-W750V have been let out officially, and we will let you know anything that we manage to dig up concerning the phone.
