Samsung unwraps two exquisitely designed handsets, the Diva S7070 and the Diva S5150 which form a part of its Diva Collection 2010.
The Diva S7070 and S5150 are designed alluringly with embossed quilted back covers that offer a stylish look and feel. The eye-catching Samsung Diva Collection 2010 models come with unique luxurious designs. Targeted at ladies yenning for a device oozing style, these handsets also bundle up functionalities which make it all the more desirable. These functions include ‘Beauty Effect,’ offering precise photo retouching so that portraits look beautiful, and the ‘Lomo Effect,’ that transforms basic snapshots into artistic photographs. The Diva Collection also delivers beautifully designed fonts along with other valuable features for women such as ‘wish list,’ ‘etiquette mode’ and security features.

The Diva S7070 keeps users connected with friends and family members while on the go. With the pop-up SNS, users receive immediate notifications as friends update status on social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace. Users receive one consolidated view of their contacts as multi-instant messenger combines all accounts in one application.
Special security features for women include ‘SOS Message’ and ‘Fake Call’ for critical conditions. With the ‘Wish List’, women can easily organize shopping activities. The second device to appeal style-conscious women is the new S5150. It comes with a shimmering, silver-toned back cover with a 3D quilted pattern. The handset features a hidden LED screen, called glittering LED that illuminates to alert users of incoming messages or calls. The S5150 also supports ‘Beauty Shot’ and ‘Lomo Effect,’ Seasonal Wallpaper and security features like ‘SOS Message’ and ‘Fake Call.’
Flaunting 2.2-inch 16M colour TFT LCD Screen (240×320) and 3.2 megapixel Camera, the handset supports music player and FM radio. Its 800mAh battery offers 7 hours of talktime and 470 hours of standby time. It weighs 82.8g and measures around 47mm x 94mm x 17.4mm.
Both phones support EDGE/GPRS Class 12 Tri-band (900/1800/1900). Connectivity features include Bluetooth v2.1, USB 2.0 High Speed, WAP 2.0 and Java MIDP 2.1. These handsets provide 40MB of user memory and expandable external memory up to 8GB. These devices also support MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA, MIDI ringtones and SMS, EMS, and MMS.
Initially the Samsung Diva Collection 2010 will hit markets in January 2010 in the Netherlands, Russia, Ukraine and other European countries and later in Southeastern Asia and China.
