Previously Verizon Wireless had offered GPS unlocked ROM for the HTC Touch Pro. This update is now being offered for the Samsung Saga. The carrier has launched an updated ROM for the Samsung Saga and the GPS has been unlocked too, reports BGR.
Samsung Saga owners fascinated by GPS features can opt for Verizon Wireless services. Users who have already updated their handsets are claiming that the GPS is currently unlocked on COM 9. The ROM cookers by now are in the process of extracting the new ROM so as to drive in the GPS unlock into custom ROMS.
As for features of the Samsung Saga, its dimensions are 4.9”x 2.5”x 0.5” and it weighs just 4.59 ounces. It presents a 2.55” 65K TFT LCD touchscreen operating at 320 x 320 resolution. Moreover it offers Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. It comes with a 2 megapixel camera and a QWERTY keyboard.
With this recent update for the Samsung Saga, hopefully Samsung Omnia users too could get a similar feature soon.
