Previously, in this month Samsung had publicized the CDMA version of its Omnia II. Now Slashgear reports that Verizon Wireless would be carrying this Windows Mobile smartphone by July, 2009.
The feature-rich handset sports a 3.7” AMOLED touchscreen display that offers 480 x 800 pixels resolution. Moreover it is equipped with a 5 megapixel autofocus camera that incorporates dual power LED flash along with 720 x 480 pixels video recording. The camera features image stabilizer, face detection, smile detection, digital zoom, geo tagging, Panorama and a wide dynamic range.
It supports Wi-Fi and GPS connectivity functionalities. It also claims to offer no less than 2GB of internal memory. This candy bar model weighs approximately 109g and its dimensions are 118 x 60 x 11.9 mm. It is compatible to the MPEG4, WMV, DivX, XviD, H.263 and H.264 video formats and it offers a full HTML browser.
In addition to this, the handset also sports a 3.5mm headset jack and the TouchWiz 2.0 user interface. Users can also enjoy MP3, AAC, AAC+, WMA, AMR, OGG music formats along with RDS FM radio.
The exact price and availability of this handset through Verizon is not yet revealed.
