The most recent additions to the Samsung’s mobile line-up are two new phones called the Samsung S5600 and S5230. Both the mobile phones offer full touchscreen functionality and enhanced technologies with an easy to use interface.
The Samsung S5600 phone boasts of a slim and compact design that features a 2.8 inch QVGA full touchscreen display. The unique TouchWiz user interface of the phone enables a user to customize and personalize the phone. Users can drag and drop the Mobile Widgets on the screen that will provide one-click access to their favorite applications.
The phone integrates an internal memory of 80MB and supports expansion of memory upto 8GB. The Samsung S5600 phone includes a Multi-codec support that eliminates the hassle of file format conversions.
“Samsung S5600 and S5230 are significant products to our full-touch screen mobile portfolio, bringing stylish designs and intuitive user interfaces,” explains JK Shin, executive vice president and head of Mobile Communications division at Samsung Electronics.
Boasting of a slim design with just 11.9m in thickness, the Samsung S5230 phone features 3.0 inch WQVGA full touchscreen display. The intuitive TouchWiz User Interface and Mobile Widgets will allow users to easily navigate various functions and applications of the phone. Using a photo contact feature, users can quickly call a contact.
Moreover, the Samsung S5230 phone also supports a QWERTY soft keyboard and handwriting recognition feature. The phone comes with a 50 MB internal memory which can be extended upto 8GB.
Samsung has embedded a unique Gesture Lock feature in both the phones that will allow users to unlock the phone. For instant access to applications and features, users can set the menu corresponding to each letter (A to Z). By drawing the alphabet on the screen, users can execute the menu directly.
Both the phones pack in various other features such as a MP3 player, FM radio with RDS support, Google search, Google email, various exciting games, Shazam’s Find Music service and 1000mAh powered battery.
While the Samsung S5230 phone is expected to be available in France and other European countries from April, the Samsung S5600 phone is expected to be available from May in Europe. The pricing details of both the phones are still under wraps.
