Just yesterday, Samsung teamed up with Google unraveling its brand new Android 2.3 operating Nexus S. The company has quite a lot going on in its backyard. We have already heard that there is a possibility that it is working on a dual core Android smartphone which could be the Galaxy S successor. Now Akihabara News has spotted Samsung China exhibiting a dual display clamshell phone (model number: SCH-W899) operating on Android 2.2.

However, Android lovers world over needn’t get all excited as the handset is currently destined only for the citizens of China. Equipped with two 3.3-inch touchscreen displays, the clamshell body has been styled sophisticatedly in golden-ish cream and noir hues. The metallic finish proffers an elegant yet sturdy feel to the phone. Ostensibly, it features a 5 megapixel camera coupled with GPS and Wi-Fi capabilities.

Presumably, the SCH-W899 appears to furnish Super AMOLED displays. This 3G enabled handset is powered by a 1GHz processor. Integrated with 512MB of onboard storage, the device is said to support additional memory of up to 32GB. Currently, this Samsung offering will only be available through China Telecom.
