UK denizens can be now happy that the famous Samsung i8910, also known as the Omnia HD, has been launched and is available for purchase on the UK operator Orange.
This is Samsung’s first S60 5th Edition phone and its most talked-about specification is its HD recording and playback. This phone has an amazing 8GB memory as well as a 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen (640 x 360 pixels) LCD display. It also sports a superb 8MP camera along with a modified TouchWiz 3D implementation that can function in the S60 environment.
This phone is being referred to as the Samsung i8910 HD in a bid to avoid confusion with the Samsung Omnia which is a Windows Mobile device and which is currently being sold. The phone will be named as the Samsung Omnia HD in few markets and few UK carriers also plan to launch the phone by the same name.
This handset attaches a price of £97.50 on a new 18 month – £35 contract.
