Samsung Galaxy Y Pro getting a dual SIM version?

Samsung Galaxy Y Pro

The latest buzz in tech terrain seems to revolve around the forthcoming arrival of a new dual SIM version of the Samsung Galaxy Y Pro smartphone. According to GSMArena, the handset is all set to be launched as the Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos.

The fan base for dual SIM phones doesn’t really need an explanation as they let users maintain one device for personal as well as work related matters. In an effort to fulfill the two needs at the same time, Samsung will supposedly come out with this dual SIM version. The Galaxy Y Pro was released last month with an aim of catering to the youth section of the population. Hence it has been tagged with the letter ‘Y’ which as per the company’s new naming system, stands for young or youth.

The rumored Galaxy Y Pro Duos is most likely to land incorporated with all the features of its counterpart, though there are two key points of difference, if the leaked picture is anything to go by. This new smartphone appears to sport a Duos logo right above its display and is most likely to boast of a front facing camera for making video calls.

Embedded with a full QWERTY keyboard, the Galaxy Y Pro is powered by the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. It is equipped with a 2.6-inch 320 x 240p TFT capacitive touchscreen and a 3.1MP primary camera possessing geo tagging and face detection features. Running on an 832MHz CPU, this handset is incorporated with internal memory of 160MB which can be expanded up to 32GB via the microSD card slot.

Details the Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos price or release date are currently unknown.

UPDATE: And it’s apparently official now, says GSMArena.
