Samsung Galaxy S4 release date in US to fall in Q2 of 2013

A precise Samsung Galaxy S4 release date in US may not have been spelled out, although the company has pledged to start rolling out its latest flagship sometime during the next quarter. Even before the smartphone could hit stores across the country, it has already started receiving the attention of AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and other such stateside carriers.

With little left to imagination, the S4 has emerged true to most of the speculations made concerning its appearance as well as internal components. Remember Eye Pause and Scroll which we had stumbled upon earlier? Well, they have indeed toddled their way into the fourth generation smartphone, except the manufacturer has deemed it fit to replace ‘Eye’ with ‘Smart’.

The functions of both the features haven’t wandered away much from our imaginations. As expected, using Smart Pause will halt a running video when the gaze is averted. Smart Scroll will permit browsing through an entire page without feeling the need to touch the screen for scrolling, thanks to the device’s capability of detecting wrist movements. A host of new camera traits also make their way into the phone.

It is quite apparent that the conglomerate is billing the concept of convenient usage by highlighting various features comprising of Air View and Gesture. The purpose behind including these attributes is basically to sanction undertaking various activities such as changing a music track and accepting a call, without exactly coming in contact with the screen.

For those who cannot help accessing their handsets all the time, even while driving, the company seems to have come up with a solution for that. Employing S Drive should switch the device into driving mode, in turn facilitating conversion of text to speech. At least this should solve the issue of checking messages when users are behind the wheel.

The specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S4 don’t come as much of an astonishment, barring details regarding the onboard processor. While some had anticipated the device to conceal a quad core CPU, others spoke of it being driven by an octa core chipset. It so happens that the manufacturer has decided to go for both. Depending on regions, the smartphone will ship with a processor accommodating either four or eight cores clocked at 1.9GHz or 1.6GHz, respectively.
