The Samsung Galaxy S4 seems to have been hit with a fresh set of rumors yet again and with just 3 days left for its official curtain raiser in New York, the device still has last-minute speculations getting attached to it.
The Galaxy S4, this time around, has had its pictures taken and put up for the world to see on 52 Samsung which is a Chinese forum. The guys over at Sammy Hub have managed to decipher from the above mentioned website that the smartphone, dubbed as GT-I9502, in the purported images are that of a dual SIM version meant to be released via China Unicom.
They have however cast their doubts about the reported phone, bringing forth the possibility that it could be just another prototype which the company has been working on. To substantiate their misgivings, the website points to earlier leaks that indicated sharp corners on the device as opposed to the rounded edges that are seen in the photos. There is a high probability that this is true considering the maker’s predilection for dodging valid revelations.
Furthermore, from what we know of the specifications that were listed in AnTuTu Benchmark, the handset will not only be operating in the Android 4.2.1 environment, but also is supposed to be gaining impetus from a 1.8GHz octa core Exynos 5 processor. 2GB of RAM would apparently be abetting the ARM chipset. Two variants are expected to be launched, one that proffers 16GB of internal storage and another which will provide 32GB memory. If whispers going around the internet are to be believed, a 64GB version will be trudging along with the duo.
The front panel might enclose a full HD display spanning across 4.99 inches, along with a 2.1MP lens. Moments can be captured via the 13MP camera with an LED flash that lies on the rear. On the connectivity end, the device would be supporting 4G LTE, Wireless LAN and Bluetooth 4.0.
The hullabaloo that envelops the Samsung Galaxy S4 has visibly refused to die down and just seems to be on the rise day after day. Well, with the date of the Mobile Unpacked event soon approaching, we can finally expect an end to it all.
