The Samsung Galaxy S successor was unveiled amidst much hype almost a fortnight ago during the MWC in Barcelona. It has now emerged that the Samsung Galaxy S II has been spotted up for pre-order on a couple or more UK retail sites.
This Samsung smartphone is powered by the latest Android v2.3 OS and boasts of a 4.2” WVGA Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen display. It integrates an 8 MP AF LED flash camera for users to capture those candid shots as well as a 2MP front-facing camera. The handset hosts a series of attractive features such as NFC support, document viewer/editor, A-GPS, Bluetooth v3.0, stereo radio, microSD card slot expandable by up to 32GB and more.
The UK-based Play is offering the 16GB unlocked Samsung Galaxy S II at around £599.99, with March 31 appearing to be its release date. Expansys will be providing the Gingerbread powered handset at approximately £629.99 for UK customers, though the availability is set at June 20. It is too early to determine whether these prices are fixed or subject to fluctuation.
The details regarding the pricing and availability of this smartphone in other countries are not clearly known as yet.
