The Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos price details have popped up just as expected. As of now, it’s safe to say that the smartphone is all set to make its way across Ukrainian borders soon, since the release date doesn’t seem to be too far.
The Galaxy Grand Duos had officially been unveiled back in December 2012 and not many days after that, Samsung Ukraine went on to issue a press release. The statement included the smartphone’s cost information and a possible launch window which were evidently overlooked. However, it is now that the news has surfaced thanks to the guys at Unwired View.
The name is quite self explanatory and suggests that the handset is a dual SIM variant. It carries a 5-inch TFT LCD screen with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The integrated dual core processor ticks at 1.2GHz and is accompanied by 1GB of RAM.
Even though the company offers an onboard storage capacity of 8GB, it has furthermore gone agreeably overboard and embedded a microSD card slot that facilitates expansion of up to 64GB. It may or may not please everyone to know that the device does not bundle Jelly Bean’s latest version, though it can still be considered a relatively fresher edition compared to ICS.
An 8MP camera has been positioned on the flip side to fulfill users’ image-capturing needs. It features auto focus, zero shutter lag and a flash. The 2MP webcam shares space with the screen and it should be sufficient for video conferencing and delivering HD videos.
The 162g device makes Internet surfing possible as well as wireless sharing by including Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0. Apart from this, users can keep an eye out for DLNA as well as GPS navigation. The manufacturer speaks of a standard 2,100mAh Li-ion battery fitted within the smartphone, although it discloses no information about the talk time and standby.
The price for the Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos, which amounts to 4,444 UAH translates to $547 or €410.209 which is much more than can expected. The specific date is still uncertain, but we know that the smartphone will be making an appearance in Europe during February this year.
