All those of you who wish to gift yourselves a mid-range device in the new year, may have a tough time deciding which gadget to go for. So here we have narrowed down your list to two deserving contenders, the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 and the Gionee Elife E7, both of which are slated to be made available in India sometime in January. The devices can be considered by people who are willing to shell out an amount that’s anywhere between Rs 23,000 and Rs 30,000. Take a look.
Samsung Galaxy Grand 2:
As the name clearly suggests, this smartphone plays successor to the Galaxy Grand and seems like Samsung’s attempt to take on all the mid-range devices by Indian smartphone makers in the country. The Grand 2 has a 5.25-inch HD touchscreen and makes the most of the Jelly Bean 4.3 OS tweaked with the proprietary TouchWiz UI.
It draws power from a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor ticking at 1.2GHz which has 1.5GB of RAM for company and a 2600mAh battery for usage time of an entire day. An 8MP snapper and a 1.9MP webcam are responsible for taking care of users’ photography as well as web conferencing needs.

Gionee Elife E7:
The Gionee Elife E7 is way better than the Samsung gadget in terms of specs. First of all, the successor to the Elife E6 has a 5.5-inch touchscreen with full HD resolution. It delivers an intuitive interface with the help of the Android Jelly Bean 4.2 OS garnished with Amigo 2.0 UI. You will find an 8MP snapper on the front and a 16MP camera on the rear panel.
Two different variants of the smartphone will be available in the market based on 3G and 4G compatibility. The 3G one makes the most of a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and the 4G smartphone employs the same quad core chipset, but with a speed of 2.5GHz. Also, 16GB E7 has 2GB of RAM for company and the 32GB one brings 3GB of system memory. A 2500mAh battery has also been tossed into the mix.

While the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 is likely to be priced at between Rs 22,900 and Rs 24,900, the Gionee Elife E7 will set you back by Rs 27,000 or Rs 30,000 based on the storage capacity you choose. The latter seems like a more feasible option, if you had to solely rely on specifications.
