There are quite a few smartwatches to consider in the market right now and choosing the right wearable gadget becomes all the more difficult. In India, only the Samsung Galaxy Gear and Sony SmartWatch 2 have been released as of now, but we are expecting Pebble and Qualcomm Toq to come soon. So do take a look.

Samsung Galaxy Gear:

This Samsung device is compatible only with smartphones from this company which run Android Jelly Bean 4.3 or later. At launch, it was only compliant with the Note 3, but the OEM is currently rolling out updates for handsets like the Note 2, Galaxy S4 and S3 and more to make them work with the gadget.

It shows off a 1.6-inch AMOLED display and takes the assistance of an 800MHz processor. There’s 512MB of RAM, 4GB of onboard memory and even a 1.9MP camera amongst other things.

Sony SmartWatch 2:

Sony has been in the business for a long time now and while other companies are making their debuts in the category, the Japanese conglomerate is currently playing its second innings. And the last device on our list is the Toq manufactured by Qualcomm which is compatible with all Android devices based on version 4.0.3 or later. It recently went up for sale in the US and its key highlight is the Mirasol display measuring 1.5 inches.

These are the smartwatches that have already been released, but we have heard rumors that two arch rivals in the tech business are currently prepping their respective gadgets.
