In what seems to be a bid to enhance the appeal of the Galaxy Ace phone that was announced back in January this year, Samsung has collaborated with the popular fashion brand to unveil the Samsung Galaxy Ace Hugo Boss smartphone. This is reportedly the second phone to be produced as a result of the partnership between the designer brand and the electronics manufacturer after the Samsung F480 Hugo Boss that had debuted three years ago in 2008.

With this, the Galaxy Ace appears to have joined the designer ranks of the recently released Porsche Design P’9981 BlackBerry and the LG Jil Sander phone. The handset is adorned with a Hugo Boss logo on the top and PocketNow states that it also features an exclusive icon which provides one touch access to the fashion brand’s official website.

This Samsung device operates on an 800MHz processor and comes integrated with a 5MP autofocus camera. It is equipped with a 3.5-inch 320 x 480p HVGA touchscreen and appears to be quite a sophisticated handset. Sporting a matte black finish, the back panel of this smartphone differs from the original Galaxy Ace as it has been reworked by designers of the fashion house.

Apart from the appearance, this designer smartphone has also received considerable improvement in the OS arena as it has been upgraded to Android 2.3.3 from the Android 2.2 Froyo that the original version was incorporated with. Furthermore, it comes pre-installed with exclusive designer content including wallpapers and songs from the Hugo Boss collection.

The Samsung Galaxy Ace Hugo Boss smartphone is currently available in France online at the phonehouse.fr for a price of $380. It will also retail from the official Hugo Boss website and select retail stores of the fashion brand.
