Samsung Corby launched in France

Samsung Corby True to its style, the Samsung Corby was elegantly launched a day prior to the highly acclaimed Fashion Week in Milan. The vibrant touchscreen handset made an appearance carrying the ‘Journey to Color’ theme.

The Samsung Corby is especially designed for youth who adore touchscreen technology, ergonomic design and social networking capabilities. The handset boasts of a 2.8-inch QVGA TFT-LCD full touchscreen display. The quad band device sports a 2 megapixel camera. The youthful mobile phone is equipped with 50MB internal memory and can be expanded up to 8GB via microSD card.

“Corby is all about being young, sociable, cool and constantly on the move, and this mobile is designed to complement an active lifestyle in terms of social networking services, usability and design. We wanted a phone that offered instant and easy access to social network sites like Facebook, Twitter and MySpace so users can share and connect through the touch screen interface,” stated JK Shin, Executive Vice President and Head of Samsung Electronics’ Mobile Communications Division.

“I purposely chose to be daring by tapping into the fashion trend for bright, bold colours, which is spreading from catwalks to high streets around the world for the forthcoming year. I hope the vibrant colours of this mobile bring fun, vitality and excitement to users, from the bold diagonal line down the side of the Samsung Corby to the cute, curvy design,” mentioned JunYong Song, the designer of the Samsung Corby.

The Samsung Corby S3650 measures 103mm x 56.5mm x 12.0 mm and weighs around 93 grams. The trendy handset comes with the original back cover along with two extra fashion jackets, a simple black one and the other with a bold graphic design.

The Samsung Corby will be initially launched in France followed by other European countries. It will also be introduced in Brazil, China, India, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam in September. Apparently, the Samsung Corby will be called Genio Touch in the UK.
