This buzz was in the market for quite some time. According to Engadget, leaked documents reveal that HTC’s Droid Eris is apparently nothing more than a rehashed version of the HTC Hero with a few more features included here and there. Reportedly, the device would be releasing in the market on November 6, 2009. Co-incidentally it is the same launching day as Motorola’s Droid.
Supposedly, HTC’s Droid Eris embraces Android 1.5 ‘Cupcake,’ Sense UI, 3.2-inch screen, 528MHz processor. This new Google Android powered smartphone features a 320 x 480 display.
The device would comprise of an 8GB microSD card, QWERTY keyboard and a 3.5mm headset jack. The user’s inbox could be filtered by the ultra-slim Eris. HTC sync may aid in being firmly connected with the user’s office.
The device also features a 5MP camera w/auto focus and video capture. Wi-Fi connectivity is additionally present in the smartphone. The upcoming handset would also offer easy access to Facebook and YouTube.
Apparently, HTC Droid Eris will be up for purchase at $199 with a $100 mail-in-rebate.
