The freshly disclosed Rogers Motorola Defy Pro is gearing up for a Canada launch this summer. According to the company, this rugged smartphone is IP67 ratified for providing resistance against water, dust and scratches.

The device in question shows off a 2.7-inch display that’s reinforced with Corning Gorilla glass for added protection. All those high on messaging can take advantage of a convenient QWERTY keypad. The built-in high capacity battery and Battery Manager should allow effective power usage management. Needless to mention, the Android-powered handset also provides access to an array of apps from Google Play.

“Defy Pro offers the complete package – a life proof device with an elegant design packed with smart technology from Motorola. Whether you’re chilling poolside or stuck burning the midnight oil at the office, this phone is built to keep up and provides users with peace of mind,” cited Darren Seefried, national account director, Motorola Mobility Canada.

In terms of connectivity, the phone offers Wi-Fi and GPS options for web surfing while on the move. It arrives with an integrated 5MP rear camera as well as a VGA front snapper for video conferencing. The Motorola device also drags along attributes like Social Graph and Activity Graph which learn the user’s call lists and app usage frequencies, to fit them directly onto the homescreen itself. Besides this, it even boasts of a specialized instrument dashboard that allows tracking of outdoor escapades with camping, workout and hiking views.

The exact Rogers Motorola Defy Pro Canada release date and price details haven’t yet been revealed by the company. However, tech enthusiasts can expect the device to unveil this summer.
