Android handsets including the latest Droid by Motorola can now be loaded with powerful native applications with the introduction of RhoHub Support for Android 2.0. With this application development tool, developers can explore their HTML and Ruby skills to design innovative applications for Android smartphones.
RhoHub claims to reduce development costs up to five times by enabling smartphone and web developers to code native smartphone applications in HTML and Ruby on a hosted service. It also facilitates developers to collaborate on building native smartphone apps from any location. The RhoHub support also enables the creation of robust mobile applications that exploit smartphone capabilities like GPS, PIM data and camera.

Further, RhoHub generates user interfaces and syncs source adapters from a high level object description. It also presents rich web color syntax editor for HTML templates and Ruby code. The tool offers hosting of synchronization server for backend app integration and availability of offline data.
RhoHub is offered in three tiers- free, basic and premium. The free tier is designed for public apps with 3 runtime users and 50MB disk space. However, the Basic service allows 3 private apps, 3 private collaborators with 100 runtime users and 2GB disk space. The Premium service is more advanced and offers 100 private apps, 100 private collaborators with 1000 runtime users and 20GB disk space.
