Real Player SP simplifies video capturing through mobile phones

Real Player SPRealNetworks recently introduced RealPlayer SP, which allow users to carry Internet video with them and also share it with their closed ones. The software is the first product that eradicates the complications involved in downloading, converting and transferring video files. It enables users to enjoy their video on any device irrespective of their location.

“RealPlayer SP makes it easy for anyone to get online video onto their mobile phones and other favorite portable devices. Since 1995, the RealPlayer has been at the center of people’s online audio and video experience. RealPlayer SP now un-tethers that video experience so people can enjoy video on the go,” remarked Rob Glaser, CEO of RealNetworks.

With this software, it is now possible for users to carry a library of user generated content video clips to a party or to show their family video. After the video is downloaded, users just have to choose their phone type, portable media player, or games system from the menu. The rest is handled by the software automatically. Moreover with just one additional click it allows users to share videos via Twitter, Facebook, or email.

“Consumers have embraced mobile devices as being more than capable of providing a rich, media-intensive experience. Understanding video formats and management, however, is still far too difficult for most consumers. RealPlayer SP helps solve that problem with abundant support for multiple formats and devices, allowing consumers to move content where they choose with only two clicks — making this one of the most effective consumer tools for allowing content to flow with them from screen-to-screen,” quoted Michael Gartenberg, vice president of Strategy and Analysis at Interpret llc, a market research firm based in LA and NY.

In addition to this, it offers innovative personalization options to users. Some of these choices include the capability of adding device profiles, alter the size and the format of a video and creating read only files. It thus empowers users to get the finest mobile video experience for their device. RealPlayer SP operates in tandem with existing media player pre-installed in the device, therefore no additional download is needed.

RealPlayer claims to be one of the most renowned digital media applications. Moreover it is apparently the first major media player to facilitate one-click downloading of Web video. It supports every major media format, from within the RealPlayer application or as embedded ones within web browsers such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer.

It allows users to play Internet video on almost all devices by means of automatic conversion and transmitting to the correct device format. The formats that can be played include h.264, Mpeg4, Windows Media, QuickTime and RealVideo. It supports Blackberry smartphones, a series of Nokia S60 devices, Palm Pre, iPhone, iPod, iTunes, Xbox and more.
