Quick Pull BlackBerry Does the hourglass show up while swapping from one application to another on the Blackberry? Steel Horn software Ltd has developed software dubbed Quick Pull, which provides a solution for lags and memory leaks.

This software will perform a reset whenever users wish or on a pre-determined schedule, in order to keep Blackberry responsive, reports Ubergizmo. QuickPull and QuickPull Pro help users to free up precious memory, optimizing their usage. These softwares smoothly functions with BlackBerry operating on OS 4.5 or higher. The QuickPull Pro (version 3.0.4) requires 107.4KB of space while the QuickPull (version 2.1.1) requires 28.5KB.

The Quick Pull Pro presents various scheduling options, wherein users can specify the day and time they wish to reset. The application also monitors the smartphone’s memory and users can decide whether to activate alerts in case the memory goes below a certain limit.

The QuickPull Pro will apparently not perform a soft reset if the BlackBerry is locked, or on a call. When the smartphone is unlocked, users will get an alert mentioning of a missed scheduled reboot. The application will resume the reboot once the call has been disconnected. Users need to press the escape key within 5 seconds, in case they wish to cancel the reboot.

The Quickpull is available for free, while the Quick Pull Pro is retailed for $2.99. The free version is available on the BlackBerry App Store.
