PhoneTag and GrandCentral join hands for Increased User Convenience

PhoneTag, GrandCentral team up How about having a voicemail-to-text converter and a service that links all your numbers to one number, together? Two technologies joining hands together is anytime a bonus for mobile users! This time around, PhoneTag and GrandCentral have teamed up to make the lives of service users simpler.

PhoneTag is an award-winning service that uses advanced technology to convert voicemails into texts which are delivered via text messages or e-mails. GrandCentral is an internet service provided by Google that clubs all the contact numbers chosen by the user. All that the user has to do is dial the GrandCentral number and choose a contact she/he wants to make a call to. GrandCentral users, however, did not have the advantage of getting their voicemails converted into texts if ever their call went unanswered. It also did not deliver a ‘.wav’ file of the original voice message.

With the latest collaboration, users can save their time and money by reading their voicemails as well as have a single number for the chosen contacts at the same time. The combination is a sure-shot deadly one.

“PhoneTag’s integration with GrandCentral gives our users more flexibility in how they want to experience our voicemail-to-text service,” said James Siminoff, Founder and CEO of PhoneTag. “Customers no longer need to decide between using PhoneTag or GrandCentral, now they can seamlessly experience both services.”

PhoneTag, formerly known as SimulScribe is currently used by 95% of carriers in the US and Canada. It has been rated as the service with the highest transcription quality by Information Week and has been receiving a number of awards since its launch in January, 2007. Two of the awards earned by PhoneTag are the much desired Four Star Ratings from PC Magazine and Laptop Magazine’s Editor’s Choice Award.
