Users biding their time for an efficient mobile dictation service featuring the ability to facilely transmit day may put their feet up. Royal Philips Electronics recently released its SpeechExec 2.0 for BlackBerry smartphone users. The newly announced software comes brimmed with several useful features designed to leverage mobile dictation.
The new app now enables users to conveniently transmit data, include more data in the recording files and make their handset a complete dictation device. SpeechExec 2.0 for BlackBerry steps in as a dictation service for individual users and smaller companies as well as enterprise software for larger organizations with up to 1,000 users.
“Today’s work environment requires people to maintain a high level of productivity even during business trips,” stated Thomas Brauner, Senior Director and Category Leader at Philips Speech Processing. “To accommodate this demand, we incorporated innovative features to help users transmit the most information possible and not delay transcription services. In addition, since smart phones are so prevalent today, we wanted to ensure that everyone could easily use it as a dictation device instead of having to carry a separate piece of equipment.”
The app’s both versions can capably send files through e-mail, FTP/S, HTTTP/S, or via the phone’s WLAN connection. With this one around, users can also attach photos to recordings. Apart from this, the former version offers all the attributes rendered by the company’s SpeechExec 2.0 Enterprise. The additional software updates comprise an enhanced graphical user interface, designed for the Storm, which will provide users with a better overview of their individual settings.
For safe and convenient file delivery, audio file transmission is also included. Further, the software updates include the ability to customize the device’s function keys for dictation purposes.
The new SpeechExec 2.0 is available now on the latest models of the BlackBerry basket, including Bold 9700, Storm 9520, Curve 8520, Curve 8900 and Pearl Flip 8220.
