Panasonic P50 Idol, P65 Flash entry-level smartphones outed in India

The Panasonic P50 Idol and P65 Flash have been launched and will hit markets in India soon, with the company aiming to capitalize on the upcoming festive season in the country. The former is priced at Rs 6790, while the latter costs Rs 8290.

Starting off with the Panasonic P50 Idol, the dual-SIM handset sports a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz, working in tandem with 1GB of RAM. The device is backed by a 2150mAh battery and contains 8GB of internal storage.

Panasonic P50 Idol

Users can add up to 32GB of extra memory through the Panasonic handset’s microSD card slot. The phone carries an 8MP rear camera accompanied by LED flash, alongside a 2MP front-facing lens for selfies. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, microUSB 2.0, A-GPS and Bluetooth. The device measures 142 x 71.5 x 8.7mm in terms of dimensions and weighs 139g.

Coming to the P65 Flash, the smartphone has a very similar set of specifications when compared with the P50 Idol. The main differences lie in its 2910mAh battery and 5.5-inch IPS 720p screen. It’s additionally bigger in terms of size, as it measures 151 x 77.8 x 8.95mm and is also heavier at 168g.
