It is so often that users miss mobile calls when at home, because they are busy somewhere else and didn’t hear or couldn’t reach the phone in time. Well, Panasonic has now come up with a new Link-to-Cell system that ensures users don’t miss out on their important calls. The latest solution is well-suited for busy professionals and multitasking parents.

The Link-to-Cell makes use of Bluetooth technology, allowing users to make and receive phone calls using Panasonic handsets placed around their house. The user simply has to leave the system’s base unit where the mobile phone receives the best network and subsequently pair up to two Bluetooth-enabled handsets to the system. The service even enables users to assign unique ring tones to each of the registered mobile phones. Once the devices are paired calls received on either of them will ring on all the compatible handsets, it can incorporate around six handsets. Those users who subscribe to a landline service can effortlessly switch from the mobile calls to the landline calls if both ring at once.

“Many people depend on their cell phones for their home or business and don’t want to miss an important call from a child or a client because of spotty cell service at home or because the phone isn’t within easy reach,” commented Bill Taylor, President of Panasonic System Networks Company of America. “Panasonic’s Link-to-Cell system makes the frustration of missed cell calls at home a thing of the past.”

The Panasonic Link-to-Cell adds-in a Phonebook Copy feature enabling users to copy 600 names and numbers from their handset’s contacts to the built-in directory. In addition to all the devices that the system can be paired to, it can also be connected to any Bluetooth-enabled headset for hands-free talking. It even functions in households who do not have a landline. With this technology, cord-cutters can access mobile calls on comfortable landline handsets without even paying for the home phone service.

The system bundles up features which all other 2010 Panasonic cordless telephones deliver. It equips the proprietary DECT 6.0 PLUS technology which provides high quality sound and a wider range. The Intelligent Eco Mode integrated in the system enhances the battery life by automatically cutting down the power consumption when it’s used near the base station. It features the Call Block facility which blocks unwanted calls by making a call block list with caller-ID information. Callers that have been blocked will receive a busy signal. Users can avoid calls during bedtime by preventing their mobiles from ringing on specific times.

The handsets are created with a rubberized grip to proffer a non-slip handset design enabling users to easily cradle the phone near their ears. The phone is Energy Star Certified and employs around one-third less energy than non-qualified models. The handset offers Optional Range Extender module which provides a doubles effective transmission range between base station and handsets.

The Panasonic Link-to-Cell system (model number: KX-TG6582T) will be available at a suggested retail price (SRP) of $99.95. Users can purchase additional handsets (model number: KX-TGA401B) for an SRP of $39.95. The optional Range Extender module could be procured at an SRP of $29.95.
