Those with ‘butter fingers’ often rely on Otterbox for their rugged cases available for a wide range of smartphones. Following the renowned Defender series and the Impact series, Otterbox is now unveiling the Commuter series.
The company claims that the Commuter cases are designed by combining the merits of both Defender and Impact series. The phone case is now available for BlackBerry Storm, Nokia E63, Nokia E71 and BlackBerry Curve 8900. This series presents three layers of protection, making the smartphone a rugged device.
When compared with its predecessors, it seems that the Commuter series sports a sleeker design than the Defender series and provides more protection than the Impact series. The case features a self-adhering shield that guards the screen from scratches and dust. The case comes with a silicone skin that covers the handset, shielding it from bumps.
The case does not hamper any of the functionalities of the phone and offers easy access to all the functions. It features silicone plugs that provide access to audio jack and USB port. The smooth outer layer enables users to carry the handset in their purse or pocket, effortlessly.
