Orkut Mobile App

Last year, the official Google Mobile blog introduced the Orkut mobile site that enables Orkut users to be in touch with their scraps, status updates, and photo viewing. The S60 phones soon improved the Orkut mobile experience by providing features like photo uploads, and click-to-call. Google now ecstatically announces the downloadable Orkut mobile app full of features that would keep users connected to their Orkut friends and phone contacts.

The app available for Java enabled devices provides users with innovative ways to interact with their mates. Users can click photos and also upload onto their Orkut album. Snaps can also be shared with friends or sent across as an SMS to phone contacts that are not signed up on Orkut. Scraps, updates and photos can be viewed by consumers even in the offline mode.

Also users can call or message their Orkut friends without leaving the app. Users will have easy access to all the features of Orkut mobile like writing/reading scraps, updating their status, searching for users, viewing/accepting friend requests and more.

To install the beta version of the app, users can visit m.google.com/orkut from their phone. The app is free to download and use, however mobile provider’s regular data charges will apply.
