Orange to offer iPhone in the UK

Orange iPhone UK

Much to the rejoice of iPhone fans in the UK, Orange and Apple envisage to bring iPhone 3G and 3GS to Orange UK subscribers later this year.

Apparently, Orange is the most prominent 3G network carrier in the UK. It seems that the Apple devices will be retailed through all Orange direct channels including Orange shops, Orange webshop and Orange telesales channels, as well as selected high street partners. The network carrier has also launched a pre-registration site for its subscribers who are willing to own this innovative Apple device.

The latest agreement between Orange and Apple suggests that O2, which has been selling the Apple device for past two years, may not own the exclusive rights to retail the iPhone. The duo offering the device in the UK may lead to conflicting iPhone pricing.

Orange is expected to unveil more information on pricing, tariffs and availability dates soon, so stay tuned. If rumors are to be believed then the iPhone may hit the streets in the UK by next month, in time for the holiday season.
