Orange and Barclaycard announces Mobile Payment service

Orange and Barclaycard have come together to announce various payment and financial services. Instead of paying with cash or credit cards, the service will allow users to pay via their mobile phones.

The new payment service will make the buying process simple, faster and easy. The two companies claim that it will be the biggest revolution in payment methods. They also aim at providing the service to more than 28 million customers.

With the help of contactless technology, customers can use their mobile phones to pay for goods and services at retail stores. For this, users simply need to wave their handset against a reader. The new service will also provide market-leading mobile alerts, new banking applications and servicing capabilities that will help users to keep control on their finances while on the go.
