Orange advances UK mobile phone calls with HD Voice service

Orange HD Voice With the dawn of a new era in mobile communications, several carriers are coming up with new and innovative solutions. Well, Orange has now enhanced UK mobile calling with the launch of the HD Voice service. The service promises to put forth impeccable sound quality for calls.

The service reduces distances between friends, relatives and colleagues to make callers voices sound similar to face-to-face communication. The service boasts of its ability to lower background noise, hisses and crackles of normal mobile calls. Users need not worry about noisy conditions as the service is capable of functioning effectively even in loud environments.

HD Voice provides users with louder, clearer, sharper mobile calls and users who usually complain about various hindrances like road works can now heave a high of relief. Apart from all this, HD Voice demonstration units will also be available in Orange shops.

What’s more, Orange mobile customers who own a HD Voice enabled handset can enjoy this service for no cost. New variants of the Nokia 5230, Nokia X6, Nokia E5 and Samsung Omnia Pro will be HD Voice enabled and other manufactures are anticipated to offer HD handsets in the coming months. The company augments the convenience levels as they label HD Voice enabled handsets with Orange HD Voice logo, thereby helping users identify devices which support the new HD Voice service.

Tom Alexander, Chief Executive of Everything Everywhere, the company which runs Orange UK, remarked “Although what we use our mobile handsets for has evolved significantly in the past few years the way we make mobile calls hasn’t changed a great deal since the 1990s. So we’re proud to be the first telecommunications brand in the UK to change this and offer customers a revolutionary new calling experience. With mobile HD Voice hearing really is believing”.

This new service is eagerly anticipated by the broadcasting industry. In addition, other industries that will benefit from HD Voice include those with significant background noise like the construction and manufacturing industries.

HD Voice is now available nationwide at no additional cost for all Orange customers with an HD voice enabled handset.
