The Opera Mini 7.5 update for Android has been freshly introduced with the Smart Page function. This trait provides instant access to world news and other social networking updates in one place itself.
This page is said to provide a ‘birds-eye view’ of the different happenings taking place around the globe. The 3 main topics covered by the Smart Page are dubbed social tab, news and suggested links. The first button enables access to social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook and vKontakte.
Users simply need to enter their login information to peruse content and updates from all these websites in one common place. The second attribute covers all world news based on the browsing habits of people. It basically clubs information from all frequently visited websites under one roof for convenience.
“There are just too many social networks, and I’m a busy man! Now, thanks to the Smart Page I can get all the updates at a glance, even from my favorite Danish newspapers. This is a real time saver!” expressed Lars Boilesen, CEO, Opera Software.
Thirdly, relevant links based on the device’s location are displayed on the screen. These links come from the developers of Opera and from its partner-companies. The Smart Page is located just beside Speed Dial which stores all the shortcuts in the first screen when a new tab or the browser is opened.
This upgraded version is claimed to render improved data compression and allow fast access to content even if network speeds are lagging. In terms of pay-per-megabyte data scheme, this particular browser is said to save almost 90% of the data consumed and this should cut down the cost to a considerable extent.
