O2 Germany has announced the launch of the Palm Pre handset with varying contracts along with mobile phone surf flat rate. Palm Pre is the first phone to run on the latest Palm webOS.
The new webOS integrates several mobile applications offering an advanced multitasking capability that allows users and business customers to easily access information. The Palm Synergy introduced for the first time with Palm webOS provides one single view of all information from several sources.

The phone comes with smooth edges and an elegant eye-catching design. It features a full QWERTZ keypad that slides out easily. The handset is compact enough to slip into pockets. Users can easily slide out the keypad for writing emails and text messaging. With the excellent gesture-controlled touchscreen interface, users can easily make phone calls, surf the web, listen to music and watch videos. The Palm Pre offers support for connectivity features like GPS, 3G and Wi-Fi.
O2 offers Palm Pre on several contracts in Germany. Internet Savvies need to add a mobile surf rate of €10 every month that offers 200MB of usage at 7.2 MBit/s speed (HSDPA). The contract also features O2 My Handy that allows users to finance the handset independent of the contract at zero percent interest rate. Users can make a down payment of €1 in the O2 shop or online at the website and pay the remaining sum in 24 monthly rates of €20 each.
