Nvidia Tegra based smartphones coming soon?

Nvidia Tegra logo Smartphones have successfully managed to gain a significant position in the markets. According to Unwiredview, TheStreet reports that Nvidia is all set to integrate the Tegra chip into smartphones soon.

Reportedly, Mike Rayfield, the general manager of Nvidia’s mobile unit said the phone would be launched through one of the leading phone manufacturers. Apparently, Samsung or Motorola could be the one to launch the smartphone. It is believed that these smartphones might work on the Android operating system and will offer high resolution 3D content.

A smartphone offers advanced features such as e-mail, Internet, e-book reader capabilities, a built-in full keyboard or external USB keyboard and more. This miniature computer will offer higher capability with this chipset.

As of now, there is no official information but it is believed that these Tegra-based smartphones will be in stores in the fourth quarter of 2009. Nvidia will offer the Tegra chip at $30 per unit.
